Privacy policy

This page says which personal data we collect through the website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask of us. It is written to be read to the end.

What this policy covers, and what it does not.

It covers the website: the contact form, the newsletter sign-up, visit measurement, and what the site stores in your browser.

It does not cover our work with clients. What is said in counselling, what is written down in individual work, and what is exchanged in a session is confidential and governed separately, away from this site. If you are or become a client, we discuss that with you directly.

Controller

Perihoreza, izobraževanje & svetovanje
Koprska ulica 98
1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia

  • Email for any question about privacy: perihoreza@perihoreza.si
  • Company registration number: 9552308000
  • Tax number: 54815851
  • VAT identification number: SI54815851

We answer a question about your data within one month of receiving it at the latest.

Contact form and email

When you write to us through the form or directly to one of our addresses, we receive what you entered: your name, an address to reply to, the content of your message, and — in the form — whether you write as an individual or on behalf of an organization.

We use this solely to reply to you and to agree what happens next. We do not use it for advertising and we do not pass it on.

  • Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering a message we received
  • Retention: for as long as the arrangement is being made, then two more years

Please do not include health data or other sensitive circumstances in a first message. The right place for that is a conversation, not email.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we keep your email address and the record that you consented. We send announcements of lectures and workshops and occasional writing — a few times a year, and nothing else.

  • Legal basis: your consent
  • Retention: until you unsubscribe

You can unsubscribe at any time, with the link in every message or by writing to us. It takes effect immediately and you do not have to give a reason.

Visit measurement

We measure visits with Google Analytics, and only if you consent. Without your consent it is not loaded and collects nothing. What interests us is which pages people open and how long they stay, not who they are.

  • Legal basis: your consent
  • Retention: the cookies up to two years; the data in Google Analytics 14 months

You can withdraw consent at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer. The individual cookies are listed in the cookie notice.

Typefaces, the map and browser storage

The typefaces the site is set in are stored on our own server. No request is sent to a font provider when you visit, and nobody outside Perihoreza learns that you opened the page.

The map in the contact section is an image on our own server, so opening the page tells no one outside Perihoreza where you are. It becomes a visit to Google only if you click it, which opens Google Maps in a new tab.

The site remembers only one thing in your browser: your answer about cookies. It stays on your device, is not sent to us, and we do not see it.

Who we pass data to

We do not sell personal data and do not pass it to third parties for their own purposes. We do use providers who process data on our instructions: our hosting and email provider, and Google Ireland Limited for visit measurement when you have consented to it.

We may also disclose data where the law or a competent authority requires it of us.

Part of the processing at Google takes place in the United States. The transfer rests on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Minors

We work with adolescents, but the website is not intended for children to submit their own data through it. In Slovenia the age for valid consent to online services is fifteen; below that it must be given or approved by a parent or guardian.

If we find we have received a younger child's data without that approval, we delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe this has happened, please write to us.

Your rights

In relation to your personal data you may ask us for:

  • access — to be told which data about you we hold and why
  • rectification of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data
  • erasure, where there is no longer a basis for keeping it
  • restriction of processing while something is being clarified
  • portability of your data to another controller in a machine-readable form
  • objection to processing based on legitimate interest
  • withdrawal of consent where we obtained it — withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it

A message to perihoreza@perihoreza.si is enough for any of this. The request needs no justification and is free of charge.

If you believe we are handling your data wrongly, you may complain to the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana.

Security and changes

Messages and addresses are accessible only to as many people as answering requires. We do not keep data longer than stated above.

We may change this policy when the way the site works changes. The version published on this page is the one in force.
